Teas for Men's Health
“Recognizing and preventing men’s health problems is not just a man’s issue. Because of its impact on parents, mothers, daughters, and sisters, men’s health is truly a family issue.” - former Congressman Bill Richardson.
Do we know that most men care less about their health? June is Men's Health Month, so let’s show some love and appreciation to the men in our life.
Here are some teas that can contribute to men's health:
Breakfast Tea
For many years people have appreciated the gentle pick up first thing in the morning from drinking Breakfast Tea. However, do you know that Breakfast Tea is more than just a nice companion at breakfast time? Breakfast teas are blends made up of 2 or 3 different black teas such as Assam, Keemun, Ceylon and/or Indonesia tea, and are known for their robustness and strong. Traditionally, they are intended to accompany the traditional hearty-rich breakfast.
A study published by the American Heart Association journal Circulation found that people with coronary artery issues experienced improved circulation after drinking black tea for only four weeks!
This will be a nice tea time to enjoy together in the morning during breakfast or as an afternoon tea as well. Click on the link to check out our Breakfast Tea collection!
Organic Pu Erh 1st Grade
Pu Erh tea is fermented black tea, which means it went through a microbiotic process similar to other types of fermented food (such as yogurt, kombucha, Sauerkraut) therefore Pu Erh tea also introduces healthy probiotics that may help improve blood sugar control and potentially prevent individuals from being obese through re-balancing the gut microbes.
One study suggested that these good bacteria from the fermentation process may somehow not only help to lose weight but also help lower bad cholesterol.
Pu Erh tea can be enjoyed anytime; however, for health goals such as weight loss, the best time to drink it is 1 hour after a meal.
Our Pu Erh 1st grade has been grown with organic farming methods with no chemical pesticides used in the cultivation.

Yerba Mate
Yerba mate or mate is a traditional South American brew that’s been said to offer the “strength of coffee, the health benefits of tea, and the euphoria of chocolate” all in one beverage. It was called “the drink of the gods” by many indigenous South Americans. Yerba mate is a traditional drink made from the dried leaves of an evergreen holly, Ilex paraguariensis, a native plant of South America. The immediate benefits of yerba mate are increased energy, enhanced mental clarity, alertness, concentration, and relieves mental and physical tiredness (fatigue).
One of our new Best Sellers from the Yerba Mate collection is our Dude's Daily Tea! It's a great choice to start or end the day.

"It’s not just about the foods, it’s about what you drink as well, that can contribute to your health." says Diane L. McKay, PhD, a Tufts University scientist who studies antioxidants. “You want to incorporate healthy beverages into your diet on a more regular basis to benefit from these health promoting properties."
