It keeps hot tea too hot to drink for over 6 hours. I wish I could let it cool after pouring the water in, but because the tea infuser sits on top it basically traps all the heat in. I tried again letting it sit out for a full hour after I filled it with hot water with the lid removed and it was a drinkable temp in 4 hours. I've used this mug twice since I got it and now it sits on my shelf unused. I suppose I could use it for cold brews exclusively, but it's a pretty expensive mug to just use it for that.
